POSTPONED: From the Heart: Creative Writing with Jennifer Lee Tsai In-Person
What does courage mean to you? To mark Refugee Week, poet Jennifer Lee Tsai will lead a collaborative creative writing session exploring courage, place and belonging. The word courage comes from an Old French word meaning "heart". Through discussion, creative prompts and shared writing, we'll explore what that means to us today.
POSTPONED: New date will be announced shortly
Whether you write every day, haven't written since school, or just enjoy a good conversation, you'll be very welcome.
Jennifer Lee Tsai is a poet, writer and artist from Liverpool. Her work explores memory, migration, family history and belonging. Her debut full length poetry collection, Melete, has just been published by Bloodaxe Books, to critical acclaim.
The Colour of Pomegranates is a relaxed, creative wellbeing space for women to connect through conversation and artist-led creative activities. Children and babies are always welcome (and they often outnumber the grown-ups!) and alongside Saturday sessions, fun activities for children are led by artist Abi Lake.
All women and children welcome
For low income or sanctuary-seeking women, we can pay your travel expenses if cost is a barrier. If you have any specific access needs to support taking part, let us know.
