Formby Library - Open Minds In-Person
A series of five, weekly Open Minds sessions led by The Thinker CIC.
Since January 2023, Open Minds attendees have been meeting, over tea and coffee, to discuss ‘big’ questions ranging from ‘what does it mean to be truly free’, ‘what is the difference between good art and bad art’, ‘how should I make moral decisions?’ to ‘is it possible to prove the existence of God’ and ‘what is the ideal society’?
All of this happens in a friendly and collaborative environment – as well as exercising and developing thinking skills, there is a core ethos of working together to develop understanding, even when there are differing views. If this sounds like it might be your thing, please come along and give it a try. No background knowledge or experience is required, and there is no pressure to make contributions. You may prefer to listen, which is perfectly fine.
